Terms are not case sensitive. platform: JungleGenie.com website or JungleGenie App App: JungleGenie.com website or JungleGenie App JungleGenie Platform: JungleGenie.com website or JungleGenie App Reservation Platform: JungleGenie.com website or JungleGenie App JungleGenie Platform App: JungleGenie App partner app: JugnleGenie Partner app place: means any travel destination offered through platform (may or may not for reservations too) including but not limited to forest reserve, national park, any other protected or tourism related natural sites and parks, natural heritage sites, eco-site, zoo, conservation sites, wildlife camps, breeding or rehabilitation centres, camp site(with or without tents, when offered under place). stay: means any accomodation site offered through platform including but not limited to hotels, hostels, homestays, resorts or camp site (with or without tents, when offered under stay) adventure activity: means activities offered through platform for reservation including but not limited to rock climbing, rappling, kayaking, river rafting, mountaineering, mangroove or river board walking, elephant bathing, cycling, guided trek(when offered under adventure activity). tour: means single or multi day travel package tour when sold as single reservation through platform as a "tour" which may include but not limited to overnight stay facilities, transportations, sightseeing and entry to places (may or may not include pre-paid entry fees), meals, treks, adventure activities. expedition: means single or multi day travel package expedition when sold as single reservation through platform as an "expedition" which may include but not limited to overnight stay facilities, transportations, sightseeing and entry to places (may or may not include pre-paid entry fees), meals, treks, adventure activities. local trek: shown as content for information purpose under "local trek" or "local treks" section and do not offer reservations through platform which includes but not limit to treks, trails food outlet: shown as content for information purpose under "food outlet" or "food outlets" section and do not offer anything buy or sale through platform which includes but not limit to restaurant, vending manchine, bar, stall travel-content: place, stay,adventure activity, tour, expedition, local treks and food outlets listed on the platform which may or may not offer reservation and sale for the same map: shown on reservation for information purpose available from "View map!" button where available which shows a vector map expected to show respective place and features in it only. partner: means business (or individual operating in capicity of business, e.g, a properitor) that have or in past had their listings(either owned, managed, authority to manage, has agreement or authority to resale, respective travel-content(s) listings which are made available for reservations or sale through the platform or has listed for information only) on platform via partner app.
This Privacy Policy describes how JungleGenie ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and retains information through the JungleGenie Platform (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
We collect: your name and email address, used as your login ID (for account creation and sign-in); user IDs, address, phone number, nationality/residency status, and other visitor details you provide when completing a booking or tax information form (some fields may be mandatory depending on the reservation, the partner, or applicable tax requirements); purchase history and payment records (payment date, reference, and amount you report after making a payment directly to a partner — we do not collect or store your bank account or card details); your profile photo (optional); in-app chat messages with partners regarding your reservations; travel-content ratings you submit; and general, non-personally-identified records of which travel-content is viewed, used only to rank and improve search results.
We use the information collected to: operate core booking, reservation, invoicing, navigation, and payment-reporting functionality; verify your identity and help prevent fraud (for example, blocking IP addresses or accounts flagged through OTP verification reports); manage your account; and comply with applicable tax, financial, and legal recordkeeping obligations. We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or automated personalization of the content shown to you.
Because the App connects you with partner businesses (property owners, activity or tour operators) who manage the reservations you make, certain information you provide is visible to the relevant partner. This includes your name, profile photo, contact details, booking/tax form responses, ratings, and chat messages related to your reservation. This is considered a data sharing arrangement with the partner, even though the partner uses a separate app (JungleGenie Partner App) that we also operate.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third-party advertisers. Information is shared only with the partner managing your specific reservation, strictly to enable booking, reservation, and payment-reporting functionality.
Where map features are available for a reservation, we use your device's precise location only on your device, to show your position on the map, help with navigation along a selected route, and alert you if you go off-route or outside the map boundary. This location data is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
We retain your account and reservation-related information for as long as your account is active. Where required, certain data is retained even after account deletion, as described in following 'Account Deletion, Retained Data and Legal Exceptions' clauses.
Upon requesting account deletion, your account will be scheduled for deletion after a 30-day buffer period, during which it remains active and you may cancel the request at any time from the account deletion option from your user profile page on app. A confirmation email may be sent when the request is submitted, and an in-app notification may also be shown. After requesting deletion, you may undo the request only after a 24-hour period has passed; if you re-request deletion afterward, a new 30-day buffer period will begin from that re-request. After the buffer period ends, your profile and personal data will be deleted or anonymized, except for your login ID (email address) used to make a reservation and the data supplied with it, invoices, reservation chat, and tax-related records, which may be retained as required by applicable regional law.
The JungleGenie App may operate across multiple regions with different jurisdictions and laws. In accordance with applicable local jurisdictions and the regulatory or statutory requirements of partners , we may retain certain data even after your account and associated data deletion request, to comply with regional regulatory or statutory requirements and/or to help partners comply with their own regional regulatory or statutory requirements. This retained data may include: your login ID / email address used to make reservations, your name as last updated, reservation records and associated tax information (including information provided in booking/tax forms visible later on the reservation), invoices, reservation chat, and other tax-related records.
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/HTTPS) for all data transmitted between the App and our servers. We do not store your bank account, card, or UPI credentials — payments are made directly between you and the relevant partner using bank or UPI details displayed in-app, and we only store payment records you or the partner report (such as date, reference, and amount).
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 18 without parental or guardian involvement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, except where retention is required by law as described above. To exercise these rights, please contact us at contact@junglegenie.com, or for faster action, use the in-app or web account deletion option.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The version number and last-updated date will be displayed with this policy. Material changes that affect how we use your personal information will be notified to you within the app.

If any term, clause, or provision of these Terms and Conditions is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction (or competent authority), such invalidity shall not affect the validity or operation of any other term, clause, or provision. Furthermore, the invalid or unenforceable provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable while preserving the original intent of the parties.

JungleGenie Platform is a technology platform that facilitates discovery and reservation of places, stays, adventure activities, tours, expeditions, and related services offered by independent third-party property owners, operators, organizers, and service providers (“Partners”). Unless explicitly stated otherwise, JungleGenie does not own, operate, manage, control, or directly provide the property, service or company associated with listed travel-contents available on the platform. Reservations made through JungleGenie Platform are fulfilled by the respective Partner and remain subject to that Partner’s own policies, rules, operational conditions, refund terms, safety requirements, and applicable laws.
Your name, profile image, and certain account-related information may be visible to Partners, fellow travelers, staff members, or other users where relevant to the reservation or service. You are responsible for ensuring that any information or image uploaded by you complies with applicable laws and does not infringe the rights of others.
Any gender-related icons, labels, or visual indicators displayed on the platform are intended solely for user interface and convenience purposes and may occasionally contain inaccuracies or limitations. JungleGenie does not discriminate on the basis of gender identity, expression, orientation, race, religion, caste, ethnicity, disability, appearance, nationality, or similar protected characteristics. However, certain jurisdictions, Partners, or local laws may impose restrictions or operational practices beyond JungleGenie’s control. JungleGenie shall not be responsible for independent actions, legal compliance obligations, or discriminatory conduct carried out by third-party Partners.
All reservation availability, pricing, descriptions, facilities, maps, schedules, and related information are managed and supplied by respective Partners. JungleGenie does not guarantee: * uninterrupted availability, * accuracy of Partner-provided information, * suitability of services, * continuous operation of facilities, * or successful fulfillment of reservations by Partners. Prices, taxes, fees, discounts, and availability may change without prior notice until a reservation is confirmed. Minor rounding differences may occur in invoices, payment summaries, refunds, taxes, or displayed totals due to currency conversion, decimal rounding, or calculation limitations.
Partial cancellations, quantity reductions, date changes, or reservation modifications may be recalculated proportionately based on: * the original booking value, * Partner pricing structures, * revised availability, * current pricing, * discounts applied at the time of modification, * and the applicable refund policy. Refunds, where applicable, are generally calculated based on the cancelled portion of the original reservation and not based on subsequent price fluctuations. Refund eligibility and processing timelines are determined by the applicable Partner’s refund policy unless otherwise explicitly stated.
Refund eligibility, cancellation windows, and related conditions may depend on the overall reservation period rather than individual ticket dates or usage periods. Certain bookings may be non-refundable, partially refundable, or subject to cancellation fees imposed by the respective Partner.
Adventure activities, expeditions, wildlife visits, trekking, forest access, water activities, remote travel, and similar services may involve inherent physical risks, environmental dangers, wildlife exposure, weather-related hazards, accidents, injuries, illness, disability, or death. By participating in such activities, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume such risks. You are solely responsible for: * assessing your physical fitness, * evaluating risks, * carrying appropriate insurance, * following safety instructions, * complying with local laws, * and using proper equipment where required. JungleGenie shall not be liable for injuries, losses, damages, accidents, delays, evacuation failures, rescue limitations, or medical expenses arising from activities operated by independent Partners.
Certain Partners may require visitors or participants to: * sign waivers, * provide identification, * comply with safety requirements, * meet age or health restrictions, * or complete mandatory documentation prior to entry or participation. Failure to comply may result in denial of access, cancellation, or refusal of service, with refunds subject to the applicable Partner policy.
Maps, directions, coordinates, routes, and navigation information displayed on JungleGenie may be supplied by Partners or third-party providers and may contain inaccuracies. Users must independently assess terrain conditions, weather, accessibility, safety, local advisories, and surrounding circumstances before proceeding to any destination. JungleGenie shall not be responsible for accidents, injuries, losses, delays, or damages resulting from navigation, terrain conditions, inaccessible routes, or inaccurate mapping information.
Messaging and chat features are provided solely for convenience and operational communication. Users should avoid sharing: * sensitive personal information, * banking credentials, * passwords, * confidential documents, * or highly private data through chats. Payments made outside JungleGenie partners’ official payment information (provided via make payment button or relative popup on reservation viewer page or in future, supported payment systems as well), including direct transfers based on information shared in chats, shall be made entirely at the user’s own risk.
Users must behave respectfully toward: * Partners, * staff members, * guides, * local communities, * fellow travelers, * and property personnel. Harassment, abuse, threats, violence, discrimination, illegal conduct, property damage, intoxicated misconduct, or dangerous behavior may result in: * denial of service, * cancellation, * removal from premises, * reporting to authorities, * or legal action by the affected Partner or authority.
JungleGenie supports fair treatment and equal opportunity. However, certain activities or facilities may impose lawful restrictions relating to: * age, * health, * physical ability, * safety requirements, * environmental protection, * or regulatory compliance. Such restrictions, where reasonably necessary for safety or legal compliance, shall not automatically be considered discriminatory.
Partners are independently responsible for: * operating their services, * honoring reservations, * maintaining licenses and permits, * complying with laws, * handling taxes, * providing refunds where applicable, * and ensuring operational safety. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JungleGenie shall not be liable for: * Partner misconduct, * inaccurate listings, * service failures, * cancellations, * accidents, * discrimination, * abuse, * criminal acts, * operational negligence, * or disputes arising between users and Partners. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
Onsite reservations made through partner app maybe shown on platform when contact added and link generated as a part of convenience and reduing paper use but are completely partner and respective partner users' responsibility including any issues, dispute, litigation or damages arising from it and relating their own policies, rules, operational conditions, refund terms, safety requirements, applicable laws which may be different from ones for platform and JungleGenie shall in no way be responsible or included in such proceeding or events. To note, onsite reservations are available for online view only when partner user adds respective customer's contact for online view of respective reservation and directly or indirectly shares with concerning customer for whome respective reservation was made and such view would open on platform with provided unique link but this still must not make JungleGenie in legally liable or responsible towards such onsite reservation. Additionally, it is respective partner and respective partner user's responsibility to ensure contact being added on onsite reservation for online view and link being shared is actually for respective customer and has conscent from respective customer for the same too, in an event if there is an error in adding contact or sending onsite reservation link to incorrect customer or using contact without conscent for the same, it shall be solely and wholly partner and partner user's responsibility and again, JungleGenie shall not be legally liable or responsible towards such incident nor be included in dispute, litigation or damages arising from the same.
Where legally required, JungleGenie may cooperate with lawful investigations, regulatory authorities, or judicial proceedings and may provide information available in its records in accordance with applicable laws and privacy obligations. JungleGenie is not obligated to retain information beyond legally required retention periods or beyond its operational data policies.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JungleGenie’s aggregate liability arising from use of the platform shall be limited to the amount of service fees or commissions directly retained by JungleGenie for the specific reservation giving rise to the claim. JungleGenie shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages.
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction of JungleGenie’s registered entity. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts determined under applicable law.
JungleGenie reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms become effective upon publication on the platform unless otherwise stated.
